Malay-Sino Chemical Industries Sdn. Bhd. (MSCI) is one of the leading producers of chlor-alkali products in Malaysia. MSCI's products are widely used in almost all industrial applications. The company possesses 3 manufacturing facilities; 2 are located in Ipoh, Perak and the third is situated in Kemaman, Terengganu; the heart of the East Coast's industrial belt. All the facilities employ the world-famous De Nora membrane technology in its manufacturing process.
In addition to manufacturing chemicals, the company also provides bulk chemicals transportation services to its customers through Circular Agency Sdn. Bhd., a wholly-owned subsidiary.
MSCI was incorporated in 1973 and began manufacturing operations in Ipoh in 1976. In 1980, Batu Kawan Berhad became the major shareholder in the company. The Kemaman plant commenced commercial production in 1999. The marketing of MSCI's products is handled by Taiko Marketing Sdn. Bhd.
